GUIDE FOR DOG OWNERS

Dog owners are an important and welcomed constituency in the Central Park community. We are in the park at all hours, enjoying ourselves with our dogs and--with our presence--making the park safer for everyone.

ABOUT DOGS IN THE PARK

1. There are no enclosed dog runs anywhere in Central Park.

2. Signs throughout the park indicate areas where dogs are never allowed (e.g. the Sheep Meadow) and areas where dogs must be on leash at all times (e.g. the Ramble and the Bridle Path).

3. In all areas not otherwise restricted, dogs may be off-leash between 9 at night and 9 in the morning.

4. Dogs must be placed on leash when required by Park personnel.

2. Keep their dogs on leash where and when it is required.
